The Trail

The Trail

By: Elmer Francisco

“Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

They say that in order to be a good leader, one must be a good follower. Sorry to kill your vibe, but I strongly disagree. I believe that if you are a good follower, you will be a follower for life. Unless, of course, if you make a drastic change in your life. The good thing about this is that the only permission that you would ever need to make this change is from YOU!

In order to become a leader, you must think from out of the box and dare to be different. It is also equally important to leave a trail so that others may follow. After all, what is a leader without followers?

I had never been a good follower all my life. My parents and teachers could attest to that. And yes, just like Thomas Edison, I never failed, I just discovered 10,000 ways that does not work. Haha! It’s all about perspective. I learned things the hard way and I am writing “The Trail” so that you could go straight to the top and smoothly weather the storms coming your way. They say that it’s good to learn from experience but they don’t need to be all yours. Trust me, it’s better to learn from the experiences of others especially the not so good ones.

I never positioned myself as a leader either. Sometimes, I just end up as one because I simply can’t help but to put order into chaos by all means necessary. So I guess, that’s a kind of leadership. According to my wife, Michelle, I’m a dictator. Haha! Actually, I’m not. I would rather be left alone in my own world. Just stay out of my way and I’ll stay out of yours; otherwise, face the consequences. But if you would ask for my help, I will guarantee your success but you must follow unconditionally …or walk away! That’s just me…

Through my experiences, both good and bad, I have learned many life lessons but it was not until I came across some ancient knowledge secretly passed down through generations of thousands of years did I get to fully understand how life really works and I have finally connected the dots. What I am about to teach you is tried, tested and proven knowledge that is both timeless and omnipotent of which whoever would follow it shall inevitably succeed. It always works and never fails.

I will let you know more about it as we go along so that you would better understand why I do certain things about many other topics that I will write in the future.

So, let me share with you “The Trail”.

I. WHAT DO YOU WANT TO ACHIEVE?

Just like in any journey, you must first know where you are going; otherwise, you will just be wasting your time. Therefore, you should first ask yourself, WHAT DO YOU WANT TO ACHIEVE? <—– Click the link to find out!

With the SMART system, you will be able to clearly set your goals and we can go to the next topic wherein you will have to get real and determine where you currently stand.  This is very important because you simply cannot go from point A to point B if you don’t even know where point A is. So, WHERE ARE YOU NOW? <—– Click the link to find out!

Most people do not even know what budget really means. Some people say that you’re on a budget when you are being thrifty.
